- if you are lacking space for Lacking space for bedside lamps use inexpensive swing-arm fixtures from Lamps Plus that don’t require installation.
- you can save on built in shelving is you find a good carpenter that can create custom bookcases. Did the same thing with my desk and side cabinet.
- use an ottoman as coffee table and you'll have extra seating also.
- give the illusion of a bigger space with a slender mirror placed between windows
- choose furniture with double duty, like the wide desk, perfect for dinner parties
